FAQs

Q: Do you do private parties?

A: Private parties are available upon request. Please contact us to get started.

Waxing

Q: What happens if I use retinol before waxing?

A: Discontinue the use of any skin-resurfacing products for at least a week before your waxing appointment. Skin-resurfacing products are designed to thin the skin, and waxing on top of that can cause burning. Make sure to inform your esthetician if you are using any skin-resurfacing products or if you are on medications like Accutane.

Q: How often do I need to wax my____?

A: This is all dependent on your hair growth cycle.  For eyebrows, we typically recommend 4/5 weeks with no tweezing in between. If you also tint your brows, you’d want to come around the 3/4 week mark.

For body wax, we typically ask for 5/6 weeks between services.

Teeth Whitening

Q: How long does the treatment take?

A: Give yourself about 1 hour from start to finish. This should provide you with enough time to complete your appointment without feeling rushed.

Q: What is used to whiten the teeth?

A: For teeth whitening, The Fix uses hydrogen peroxide and an LED light. Unlike standard whitening strips you can buy over the counter, our teeth whitening services will not irritate your gums.

Q: How long do the results last?

A: We recommend scheduling two whitening sessions close together for the best results. The duration of the outcome depends on your lifestyle and diet. If you frequently consume red wine and tomato sauce, your results may not last as long.

Spray Tanning

Q: Will I turn orange?

A: You will NOT turn orange. We use St. Tropez tanning products, which work with your skin’s melanin making it impossible to turn orange.

Q: What is the difference between an Express Tan and a Classic Tan?

A: When you arrive, you will be asked if you’d like the “Express” or “Classic” tan.

Express Tan:  This spray tan is more customizable and stays on your skin for 1-3 hours. You can choose the level of darkness you’d like, and the longer you leave it on, the darker it will become. After showering, it will continue to develop over the next 8 hours.

Classic Tan: The classic tan is ideal if you won’t be able to shower for at least 8 hours.
